Southeast Texas Regional WebEOC Sentinel Training

Course Date/Time: Tuesday, October 30, 2012 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Location: Houston Emergency Center EOC 5320 North Shepherd Houston, Texas 77091

Audience: New and Current WebEOC Sentinels

Course Description: Advanced WebEOC Training that will provide the user with the skills needed to complete advanced tasks within the Southeast Texas WebEOC system (i.e. Incident Creation; Significant Event Entry Review; new user account creation; STAR/LoRe integration; etc.) This course also serves as a train-the-trainer and will provide the user with the knowledge and materials needed to conduct local WebEOC trainings for their local jurisdictions and agencies.

*If you are currently a Sentinel and would like refresher training feel free to attend; new WebEOC system enhancements will also be discussed. If you are not a Sentinel, but would like become one please submit your RSVP no later than MONDAY, OCTOBER 15 so that I can submit your request to the workgroup via email (All Sentinels must have WebEOC Workgroup approval prior to attending the training).

The “Default” incident name in WebEOC has been changed to: “No Notice Default Incident”

This incident should be utilized when an agency or jurisdiction does not have the manpower or the time to create an incident on the fly. If the no notice incident evolves into a significant event, a Sentinel or EMC can contact the WebEOC Administrator to modify the name of the incident when necessary.

This incident should only be used when creating a new incident is not an option; please continue with the current standard practices and processes regarding incident creation.

Feel free to distribute this message to your local WebEOC users and stakeholders.

A new Statewide incident has been created in WebEOC: Isaac 2012.  This incident has been mapped to all WebEOC servers across the State and can be accessed by using your normal WebEOC logins.

In support of the 2012 JCC Maccabi Games and ArtsFest, a new incident has been created in WebEOC:  08/05-12/2012 Regionwide Maccabi Games

Users can access the incident by visiting houston.webeocasp.com and logging in with their user name and password.

The following Agencies/Jursidictions have been granted access to this incident:

- Fort Bend County
- City of Houston
- Harris County
- City of Richmond

If you feel your agency should have access to this incident, please contact me at the information below.
