THEN JOIN THE ZOMBIE SQUAD

The Zombie Squad is composed of actors and role-players, who support the Fort Bend Regional-Training Exercise Support Team (EST) to function as simulated patients, victims, bystanders and other non-player characters during disaster drills, exercises, and training

Advantages of family participation in disaster drills includes:

• Provides opportunities for parents to talk with their children about disasters.
• Helps children to identify different types of disasters that may happen at their schools, at home or in their communities.
• Helps parents start conversations about natural disasters as well as man-made acts such as terrorist attacks
• Assists families to be proactive during crisis, they might encounter and what their family might do during any of them.
• Opens opportunities for caregivers to help young ones process current disasters from source outlets, this may assist families in addressing what public safety and emergency management agencies do during incidents and what each agency is responsible for before, and after a major disaster.
