L-N Photo by Shannon Crabtree For The Future El Campo Mayor Philip Spenrath talks to the crowd at the groundbreaking ceremony for a new communications tower at the Department of Public Safety Pierce Station Thursday morning. The 400-foot tower will link into a 13-county network allowing all agencies to talk to one another once new radios are obtained. The $1.5 million tower will be built via a Fort Bend County Homeland Security grant.
