Fire Weather Watch - Fort Bend County

The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a Fire Weather Watch for Southeast Texas, including Fort Bend County, from Monday Morning through Monday Afternoon. A combination of abundant sunshine, warm temperatures, low humidity and gusty Northwest winds will result in elevated fire danger on Monday A cold front will cross the area late tonight ushering in a much drier airmass. Humidity levels are expected to drop below 30 percent between 10 and 11 AM and bottom out in the 15 to 25 percent range Monday afternoon. Northwest winds of 10 to 20 MPH are expected with gusts near 25 MPH at times. Humidity values will recover about 30 percent and winds will diminish around sunset.
